Year Round — Classes & Trainings

Know Your Rights around Food Resources in Oregon

This workshop focuses on increasing knowledge and understanding about federal nutrition programs, how to access, apply and advocate to speak out and improve food programs in Oregon. In the workshop, we support how to navigate food assistance programs, including applying for benefits and accessing local food programs. We partner with organizations focused on food justice to provide participants with tools and knowledge for better access to nutritious foods.

We cover the following nutrition programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); Women, Infants, and Children (WIC); School Meal programs; Oregon Food Bank (OFB) food pantries and Double Up Food Bucks.

When requested, we hold workshops specifically about SNAP or WIC, representatives of those programs can talk with individuals who need extra support.
